FERAL FACADES
I have always been fascinated by the misread between architectural representation and reality. Through intentional re-interpretation of orthographic drawings, spaces can be understood in multiple ways.
Like Feral Paraline, this project is also a project with dual agenda. On the one hand, it evokes intellectual discussions of drawing methods. On the other hand, it provides this illusionary experience of seeing the same facades from all directions as vehicles process toward it on the site.
The site decides that one has to first see one side of elevations of the property from afar and then see the full view when he/she is driving along the round-about.
Sitting in the middle of a roundabout, the house provides a surrealistic experience of having four different facades that share the same outline.
When the translation is lost between the Platonic drawings and the Empirical world, what remains in between is the nuance of reality…
Thus the Feral Architectures emerge…
